Listed below are the common sense DON’TS that others appreciate and will increase your enjoyment at the field:
- Don’t fly in any manner which could be hazardous to someone at the field.
- Don’t wait until you get to the field to break in your engine. Excessive engine running in the pits is very distracting and annoying to fellow flyers.
- Don’t start touch and goes without informing your fellow pilots.
- Don’t tie up the frequency pin while you give your model a major overhaul.
- Don’t fly repeatedly without returning the pin to the board or at least asking if anyone is waiting to fly.
- Don’t fly anywhere near houses.
- Don’t “accidentally” fly over the pits consistently.
- Don’t blow exhaust toward other planes.
- Avoid low altitude passes and aerobatics when the field is congested, e.g. Sunday afternoons.
